Note: I currently don't have a fix for this issue, this is documenting what did not yet work.
Host computer had Windows 11 Pro Client computer had Windows 11 Home Old Windows 10 client laptop worked fine to connect to host computer, new Windows 11 computer gives these error messages. It completes the login procedure, the host computer screen locks, it pauses for about 5-10 seconds, then gives this error message. Other people with the issue https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowserver/forum/all/black-screen-remote-desktop-error-code-0x3/15a46225-14f6-48d3-92cb-fd7a629886a2?page=2 I tried this change in gpedit.msc without success: Administrator Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Remote Session Environment -> Use the hardware default graphics adapter for all Remote Desktop Services sessions" I removed "Remote Desktop Connection" from Programs and Features and installed "Microsoft Remote Desktop" from Microsoft Store, no change. Rebooted host computer, no change. | |
