Symptoms:
Everything else in the docking station worked, except for displays. Fix: The fix was to completely power down the laptop, and disconnect the battery. There is an option in the BIOS to disable the battery which made it so I did not have to remove the back cover and physically disconnect it. After leaving it off for a few minutes, upon powering it back on, the docking station worked properly. Cause: I believe the issue was due to USB-C chips on the laptop needed to be fully powered off before they supported video over USB C. | |
