Guide Network VLAN CheatSheet Updated August 11 2024
Trunk Ports - Any port which connects to a VLAN-Aware (Smart) switch/firewall/AP. Only put devices here which are aware of VLAN's.
Access Ports - any port which goes to a device which is not Smart, including phones, printers, computers, non-smart switches, etc. These should only have one VLAN assigned to them in an untagged status.

TP-Link VLAN Setup (verified on TL-SG1024DE and TL-SG108PE):
On Trunk ports, tag all VLAN's that should allow traffic on "802.1Q VLAN" page.

On Access ports:
1: On "802.1Q VLAN" page, have that VLAN be the only untagged, and remove tagged from that port.
2: On "802.1Q PVID Setting" page, set the PVID to be the VLAN for that port to be the correct VLAN number (enter VLAN number, check the correct port(s), click Apply.

Cisco SG200 VLAN Setup:
VLAN Management --> VLAN Settings: Create all VLAN's here.

For Trunk ports:
1: VLAN Management --> Interface Settings: select the port, then Edit button. Ensure Trunk is selected, Apply.
2: VLAN Management --> Port VLAN Membership: select the port, then Join VLAN button. Add all VLAN's that will pass through this switch to the list, select Tagged, and Apply.

For Access ports:
1: VLAN Management --> Interface Settings: select the port, then Edit button. Ensure Access is selected, Apply.
2: VLAN Management --> Port VLAN Membership: select the port, then Join VLAN button. Remove any existing VLAN's, add only the vlan it should have, and select Untagged. If for some reason it automatically adds 4095, I didn't find a fix other than doing a factory reset and setting it up again.
Apply.
